Miami County Dog Warden Retiring

Pat Armstrong, the Miami County Dog Warden will be retiring. Pat's last day will be June 4, 2010. The Ohio County Dog Wardens Association would like to congratulate Pat on her retirement. Pat can be reached at 937-332-6919 until June 4, 2010.

New Stark County Dog Warden

The Holmes County Dog Warden, Reagan Tetreault, who currently serves as the Ohio County Dog Wardens Association Northeast Director was appointed as the Stark County Dog Warden. Ohio Livestock Reparations Fund

The Ohio Department of Agriculture was not allocated funds for fiscal year 2010 or 2011 to compensate livestock owners whose livestock are killed or injured by coyotes.Thus, all livestock claims are to be investigated and reported to the state but no compensation will be provided.

Ohio Pet Fund

The Ohio Pet Fund application period begins November 1, 2009 and applications are due by December 31, 2009 and may be found online at www.petsohio.com. Grant money acquired from the Ohio Pet Fund is for spaying or neutering shelter animals.
